Welcome back after an unexpected break of recording!

This is going to be a very different “Happy New Year” podcast. This is not going to be about setting goals and finding a way to grind to a greater level of success.

Balance and Rest are essential for your new mindset. Having a plan to create balance and rest is essential for enjoying more freedom in your life. If you are living in a way that is burning you out, you are not really living.

1:22 - Hustle culture nonsense is burning people out, including me. Rest is such an important part of our journey and often neglected.

2:31 - Mindset language has been co-opted by multi level marketing because it can be twisted into hustle culture because you need to make things happen.

3:53 - There are two mentalities: I live to work OR I work to live. We want to enjoy more LIFE.

9:11 - If you are not authentically resting and taking care of yourself along the way, you are headed for burnout and sickness that will force you to rest. It is important to build a plan to prioritize rest.

9:28 - #1 - Prioritize your year around your vacations, holidays and time off. Go to your calendar and block off those priorities and honor your commitments for happiness, joy and more life.

11:22 - #2 - Prioritize and schedule your self-care, for your physical body as well as your emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs.

14:54 - Some of our self care is proactive, but some of it is needed in the moment to manage what is happening right then. 

15:25 - #3 - Build a habit of setting your mind and intentions every single day.

18:36 - #4 - Boundaries from when you are working and when you are living are essential. When you are on, you are on. When you are off, you are off. You do not need to sacrifice yourself for your business.

20:51 - #5 - Be willing to be adaptable to whatever conditions and circumstances demand a change in your priorities.

23:55 - Build the belief that when you focus on the things that matter most you are moving closer to your goal. If you are living in the frequency of more life, you have to be moving closer to success.

26.10 - With whatever is happening in your life, remember that life is always working with you.
